Description

Delicious mashed potatoes filled with savory ground beef and cheese, all wrapped in a crispy cone, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 large Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Ketchup, for serving
  • Mustard, for serving
  • 1/2 cup minced pickles
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare a fryer or pan: Heat oil in the fryer or large pan over medium heat to 350°F.
  2. Peel and dice the potatoes: Cut into cubes and cook in salted boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Mash the potatoes: Drain, return to pot, mash with a pinch of salt and butter.
  4. Prepare the beef: Cook beef with onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a skillet until browned.
  5. Fill the cones: Form cones from mashed potatoes, make a hollow, and spoon in the beef mixture.
  6. Add cheese and toppings: Sprinkle cheese, drizzle ketchup, mustard, and add pickles.
  7. Fry: Fry cones in hot oil until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  8. Drain and serve: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot!

Notes

Customize with your favorite toppings; try adding Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor.
