Description

A comforting Chicken Mushroom Skillet with tender chicken and earthy mushrooms in a rich, creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken Breast, boneless and skinless
  • 300 g Fresh Mushrooms, cremini or button
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 200 ml Heavy Cream
  • 100 ml Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breast into even-sized cubes.
  2. Clean the mushrooms gently with a damp cloth and slice them into thin rounds.
  3. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Add the chicken cubes to the skillet, searing them for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan.
  9. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring until combined.
  10. Add the chicken back into the sauce, and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
  11. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Prep the ingredients a day ahead for a quicker cook time. Pair with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
