- 2 slices of bread (e.g., sourdough or ciabatta)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 slices of bacon
- 2 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar or gouda)
- Butter for spreading
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook the bacon until crispy and drain on paper towels.
- Mash the avocado with salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the pan.
- Add cheese, mashed avocado, and bacon on top.
- Top with the other slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, flip, and cook until the other side is brown and the cheese melts.
- Cut diagonally and serve warm.
Notes
You can prepare the avocado mix a day in advance and store it in an airtight container in the fridge. For a healthier option, try using an air fryer.
