Description

Delicious chocolate cookies filled with a creamy cheesecake center, offering a perfect balance between sweet and slightly tart flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ⅔ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ⅔ teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. For the cheesecake filling, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice, mixing until creamy.
  8. Scoop a tablespoon of cookie dough, flatten it, place a teaspoon of cheesecake filling in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
  9. Place the cookie balls on the baking sheet and repeat the process.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden. Do not overbake.
  11. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Notes

Let the butter and cream cheese come to room temperature for better mixing. You can modify ingredients to suit your taste.
