Description

Ingredients

  • 113 g unsalted butter
  • 110 g light brown sugar
  • 38 g sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 167 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp fine sea salt
  • 85 g cream cheese
  • 19 g sugar (for filling)
  • High-quality caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the butter and light brown sugar in a large bowl until creamy and light.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Combine the cream cheese and sugar in a small bowl until creamy.
  6. Use an ice cream scoop to portion dough onto the baking sheet. Make a small well in the center of each portion and fill with the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Bake the cookies for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired for extra flavor.

Notes

Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to maintain their shape.
