Description

A comforting and convenient crockpot dish featuring layers of cheese ravioli, meat, and marinara sauce that brings the rich flavors of Italy to your table.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef or Italian sausage and brown it, breaking up any large chunks.
  2. Drain any excess fat for a leaner dish.
  3. Layer the ravioli: In a crockpot, lay half of the frozen ravioli evenly across the bottom.
  4. Add half of the meat sauce over the ravioli, followed by half of the ricotta and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layering process using the remaining ravioli, meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
  6. Sprinkle the top layer with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  7. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 240-300 minutes or on high for 120-180 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your meal.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute meat with sautéed mushrooms or roasted vegetables. You can also freeze leftovers for later enjoyment.
