- 200g Mozzarella
- 250g Champignons (Mushrooms)
- 1 Zwiebel (Onion)
- 200ml Sahne (Cream)
- Fresh Frische Kräuter (herbs like tarragon, chives, or parsley)
- Salt to taste
- Pfeffer to taste
- Öl zum Braten (Oil for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes, then mix in salt and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Fry the rösti: Heat oil in a frying pan and spread the grated potatoes evenly, pressing down to form a cake and fry until golden brown.
- Add mozzarella: Place mozzarella slices in the center and gently fold the edges of the rösti over the cheese.
- Melt the cheese: Lower heat and continue frying until the cheese melts and the outside is crispy.
- Prepare the mushroom sauce: Sauté onions and mushrooms, add cream, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs, and stir until thickened.
- Serve: Place the rösti on a plate and drizzle with the mushroom sauce. Garnish as desired.
