- 150 g Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 100 g Butter
- 200 g Sour Cherries
- 1 Packet Vanilla Sugar
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- A Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt into the bowl.
- Fold everything together until just fully combined.
- Carefully fold the sour cherries into the batter.
- Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
