Description

A delightful and moist sheet cake featuring bursts of tart cherries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g All-Purpose Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 100 g Butter
  • 200 g Sour Cherries
  • 1 Packet Vanilla Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • A Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt into the bowl.
  5. Fold everything together until just fully combined.
  6. Carefully fold the sour cherries into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow the cake to cool slightly before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
